For our Save the Date card (below), we
put together an old school basement looking set. We wanted
to do something fun and memorable for our cards, so of
course that meant I needed a mustache and Lisa needed to
feather her hair. So I got my Dad's suit that he married
my Mom in, and Lisa got this cool retro outfit from her Mom.
So nasty, and so fun.
And the back had the following disclaimer:
No shag carpeting or wood paneling was harmed in the creation of these photographs.
Lisa's authentic vintage wardrobe provided courtesy of Carol Rotert. Brandon's
wardrobe provided by Bill Voges who wore the featured suit on his own wedding
day. All feathered hair, mustaches and sideburns are real. All cheese fondue
was consumed on site and may have contained more than the recommended daily value
of trans fats. Please keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Store
in a cool dry place and avoid excessive heat (40C). We are Lisa and Brandon and
we approved this message. Formal invitations to follow. Hope to see you in St.
Louie!

So anyhoo, we decided it would be fun to put together the
same set for our wedding reception, complete with some glasses,
wigs etc. We thought of it as our "photographic guest
book / blackmail material". Folks were jumping in there
left and right, throwing on wigs, glasses and acting a fool.
It was ridiculous fun to go through all the pictures when
we got back from the honeymoon.
BIG THANKS to BIG
JAMES for running the booth. You braveheart...you braveheart.
Thank you.
